"With extraordinary access, award-winning producer and director Dan Edge (Inside Japan’s Nuclear Meltdown, Kill/Capture, The Wounded Platoon) takes you to the epicenter of the raging debate about prison reform. Solitary Nation brings you an up-close, graphic look at a solitary confinement unit in Maine’s maximum security prison."
Through my supporters. We will be forming and launching an initiative where activists, lawyers, professors, college students and prisoner rights advocates and prisoners can interface through free and/or inexpensive phone calls and emails; where they will exchange thoughts, ideas, experiences and knowledge about there perspectives regarding the American criminal justice system. Particularly, mass incarceration and policing in America. And through these initiatives. I hope to bring real people together who may otherwise, have not crossed paths, due to their respective circumstances. I hope through these initiatives meaningful alliances and friend(ships) are born. If you're interested in becoming apart of this initiative and/or know somebody who is than I exhort you to please get in contact with me through my Corrio number in the contact section. Thanks. And I hope to hear from you soon.

"Blood In My Eye was completed only days before it's author was killed. George Jackson died on August 21, 1971 at the hands of San Quentin prison guards during an alleged escape attempt. At eighteen, George Jackson was convicted of stealing seventy dollars from a gas station and was sentenced from one year to life. He was to spent the rest of his life -- eleven years-- in the California prison system, seven in solidary confinement. In prison he read widely and transformed himself into an activist and political theoretician who defined himself as a revolutionary."
