A Warrior's Prayer
Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers,
but to be FEARLESS in facing them
Let me not beg for the soothing of my pain,
but for the HEART to conquer it with joy
Let me not look for allies on life's treacherous battlefields,
but let me seek asylum in my own strength
Let me not seek salvation from others,
but redemption from from my despair
Seek the gaze of my eye,
Glimpse my heart and know; I truly tried,
to contain a swelling but unforgiving tide
As I chart this path alone,
My heart quakes for this nation's republic
for it has already cast,
a shattered and unjust stone.
WHY GOD MADE ME BLACK
Lord, Lord, why did you make me someone the world wants to hold back? Black is the color of dirty clothes, the color of grimy hands and feet. Black is the color of darkness, the color of tired beaten streets. Why did you give me thick lips, a broad nose and kinky hair. Why did you make me someone who would become the recipient of hated stares?
Black is the color of a bruised eye when someone gets hurt.
Black is the color of darkness, it's the color of dirt! How come my eyes are Brown and not the color of the daylight sky? Why do people find my pigmented existence to be inferior, can you tell me why?
Why do some people see my skin and think that it gives them a license to abuse? Is It something about the children of Africa that got me confused. Lord, I just don't understand. What is it about my skin. Why people don't take the time out their day to explore the soul within.
As you know, Black is what people are listed under when they want to keep you away. Black is the color of shadow cast, Black is the end of the day. Lord, you even know my (((OWN))) people mistreat me and we both know that ain't right. Some of my own people don't like the color of my hair or the say, my skin is too light and I talk too white.

Lord, don't you think it's time for some things to change, why don't you just (((Re-Do))) creation. And make EVERYBODY the same.

And G"7"d Answered:
Why did I make you Black, you have the audacity to ask? I did not do it as some cruel and unusual task. Get off your knees and just look around and tell me precisely what it is you see. Because, when I gaze fondly at thee. I don't see "NIGGERS!" I see a proud mighty people who was made in the image and likeness of a living ME.
I made you the color of coal, from which beautiful diamonds are formed. I made you the color of sweet Sudandic oil, the Black Gold that keeps the world warm. I made you from the rich, dark, earth that grows the food you need. Your color is that of a Black Panther, known for her gorgeosity and speed. Your color possess the grace of a million stallions, a Black majestic beauty, indeed. See, it's only natural that I use the finest and the most magnetic subatomic particles from the three stages of darkness to make thee. After all, I use the same mud that you got in -to- make you in the image me.
All colors of the heavenly rainbow can be found throughout nations.
However, when all these colors are united. Y'all become my greatest creation! And lastly, to address your hair texture. It was made to reflect the spiral galaxies and the wool of the lambs. So when you look in the mirror you know without a doubt who (((I AM)))
So now that I have answered all of your questions and heard all of your flak. Tell me, how do you feel now about being BLACK?
